Launi Bucket Hat

The bucket hat with a clean and colorful style

The fabric

As with most of our models, we have chosen to use few materials, mainly natural, from renewable resources.

Our goal is to offer you stylish pieces that also last over time, that is why we chose to make the bucket hat in 100% cotton canvas, approximately 250 g per m2. This material, often used in home accessories, has the particularity of being very robust and resistant to wear, its touch is firm and smooth.

A two-tone look

Launi means color in the Hausa language, spoken in West Africa, we couldn’t be more explicit.

A first two-tone face in green and pink tones with visible gray stitching for a contrasting effect.

On the pink side, you will find the embroidery of the Esthet symbol, inspired by the symbols that can be found in many architectural designs in northern Nigeria, Benin or Niger, a symbol of creativity. The embroidery is located on the front of the bucket hat.

Join Esthet’s family

Wearing Esthet’s clothes, also means joining a committed, daring and talented artistic family.

By buying Esthet., you are not buying a simple product, you are also contributing to the highlighting of artists from the alternative culture of the African continent and its diaspora, artists who are invited to associate their universe with ours.

“We are Esthet. We are the creators” which is embroidered on the grey side of the Launi bob, an invitation signed Samsouky to join the Esthet movement. Lyricist, juggler of words whose poems reflect his vision of the world and love, we offered him this first collaboration.

The manufacture

Once the canvas fabrics and accessories have been received, the confection of our Launi bucket hat is carried out in a garment factory in Benin, respecting international standards.

Why Benin? With Esthet, our goal is also to develop long-term partnerships and build a value chain for targeted fabrics such as cotton (from cultivation to clothing, including weaving and dyeing). West Africa, and in particular Benin, are areas that we are targeting in the pursuit of this objective, given our special attachment to these regions. Being aware of the R&D process necessary to achieve our objective, we had in mind for this first collection to find partners rather located in Europe. However, we did meet some remarkable actors on a journey of exploration, who made us want to start collaborating with them sooner than expected.
